We have been told many times by customers that emulsions taste much better than extracts. We believe this is because they are water based and a more neutral carrier than alcohol - it imparts no added flavor and does not evaporate as rapidly when exposed to heat. This allows the flavor to taste better, smell better and not "bake-out" as readily as a traditional alcohol-based extract.
You will love using emulsions in cakes, cookies, frosting, pies, ice cream and beverages. Replace orange zest with LorAnn Orange Emulsion(1/2 teaspoon extract replaces 2 teaspoons zest).
Use to flavor marinades, compound butter, chutney, syrup and chocolate sauce.
